St. Bonaventure CYO Track & Field is a fun program designed for runners of all levels in grades 2-8 who want to learn proper technique and learn to enjoy the many events of track and field. Athletes have the ability to train and participate in running events including the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and the mile; relays and field events such as the the long jump, high jump, softball throw and shot put.

Season Details: Thursday, February 1, 2018 (first practice) - Saturday, May 12 (Diocese Championship Meet):Tentative

The first practice will be Thursday, February 1 from 4:00pm to 5:15pm at Newhall Park. We will meet at the open grass area across from the duck pond next to Memorial Hill.

Practices will be at Newhall Park on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00pm-5:15pm and will change to 5:00pm-6:15pm when daylight permits. Practice dates on the Clayton Valley Charter High School track TBD.

Mandatory Parent Meeting – Monday, February 5, 2018 @ 6pm in the Small Hall at St. Bonaventure Church

Meets will be on Saturdays starting in March. We are looking for coaches and volunteers! If you are interested in helping or need more information about the track program, contact:

East, summit of Mulligan Hill to Marsh Creek Springs; West, from intersection of Ygnacio Valley Rd. and Walnut Creek city limits southeasterly on a straight line to summit of Mount Diablo; South, from Marsh Creek Springs to summit of Mount Diablo; North, easterly along Ygnacio Valley Rd. from Walnut Creek city limits to Newhall Community Park, north along park to a southern extension of Bailey Rd., north to Myrtle Dr., then on a straight line to summit of Mulligan Hill. 

*All St. Bonaventure CYO players must reside within parish boundaries, or have attended Catholic Studies the prior year.
